I'm Making a NEW Book! And You Can Help! -- Danny P.

Hey there, It’s your good friend, Danny here!

Two Quick Things:

1.) I’m making a New Book!

It is all about West Virginia! Hollywood makes West Virginia out to be a bad place. That isn't the West Virginia I know, So, I'm making a book to show the real West Virginia.

Second, scoll down...

2.) I have an IMPORTANT Question for you:

Do You Want Your Name in a Book?

Pledge support and your name will be included in the book!

Pretty cool, huh? I thought you’d agree.

Here is the deal:

■ If you pledge $9 your name will be listed as one of our “Monarch Butterflies.” (State Insect)
■ If you pledge $23 your name will be listed as one of our “Red Cardinals.” (State Bird)
■ If you pledge $47 your name will be listed as one of our “Black Bears.” (State Animal)
■ If you pledge $73 your name will be listed as one of our “Mountaineers – are always free.” (State Motto).

Plus there are many more rewards with each level of support.

The $23 level of support is really just a pre-order for the book.

The book will have 150 pictures of West Virginia!

Here is a sample of West Virginia beauty:(Photo by Carrie Pettry).

So, Alrighty now:

Go ahead and pledge your support now while it is fresh on your mind.

Drink a lot of coffee? Blame it on your genes.

I read that people who drink a lot of coffee may do so because of their genes. Hmm. My father drinks a lot of coffee. My mother has always been a Coke drinker, but I'm sure it has a lot of caffine. I had grandmothers on both sides who drank a lot of coffee. I'm not certain about either of my bio grand-fathers who I never met. Coffee Readers Probably Like Super Heros!

Coffee is a Super Hero. So, naturally, people who read this blog would probably be interested in Super Hero Stuff.

Here is the official trailer for the upcoming X-Men First Class Movie:

Here is a longer trailer for the movie:

Here are my thoughts --

To the best of my memory, Professor X tells Wolverine in the first X-Men movie that some of his first students were Cyclopes, Jean Grey, and Storm. At least, I thought that.
Then in the Wolverine movie it shows a bald Professor X at the end of the movie helping Cyclopes escape from “the island” in a cameo.

The X-Men First Class movie shows a younger Professor X with hair, but Cyclopes isn’t in the movie unless he has some special cameo.

Why can’t the original X-Men consist of the real original members?

The original X-Men consisted of: Angel (who we didn’t see until X3 movie), Beast (who we didn’t see until X3 movie, but the movie makes it evident that Beast had previously been with the X-Men) Cyclops (who appears in X1, and in Wolverine) but isn’t in the prequel First Class), Iceman (who appears in X1) but wouldn’t be born during the time of the prequel First Class, and Marvel Girl “Jean Grey” who appears to be introduced to Xavier’s school in X3 by a bald Professor X and by a younger Magneto. Jean Grey isn’t in the prequel First Class.

Well – movies are never like the books or in this case the comics.

Here is a funny commentary about the trailer:

Here is the X-Men Comic and Motion DVD Comic that I’m going to be reading for leisure soon. I placed an order for it today. It should arrive in a week.

Maggie's Secret.

Danny zips down the road in his silver firebird. He zooms right into a front parking place. He always gets a front parking place because this place is dead. It’s 12:06 in the morning. Only a few zombie truck drivers are awake this time of night in a little town called Skeleton, West Virginia, on the outskirts of Charleston.

The whole town is dark. The only lights shining are from the gigantic sign that reads: “The Coffee and Pancake House of Charleston.” However, the coffee house isn’t even in Charleston city limits. Underneath it the florescent red words are blinking Open 24/7 with a blue florescent border that says constant.

Danny sees her first. She is sitting at a booth right in front of his car. She is wearing a tight red dress with no sleeves. Her long black hair is hanging down her back. She looks stunning. She is out of place. She doesn’t belong in a coffee shop in West Virginia at midnight. She looks as if she could be mistaken for a Hollywood starlet who should be at a famous Night Club. Candy wouldn’t know anything about that. She’s never been west of Indiana.

Her full attention focuses on Danny when he walks in the door. She is holding a cup of coffee with both hands as her eyes stay right on Danny. She is drinking her favorite coffee. Hazelnut and Vanilla. She loads it with sugar and crème.
Danny sits down next to her as the waitress Maggie brings a plate of French toast and maple syrup to Candy. Danny wonders how the hell can she eat soo much and stay so skinny.

Maggie looks instantly at Danny and she says, “It is almost ready.”
Danny takes a quick glance around the dining room to double check that the room was empty. Maggie wasn’t talking about Danny’s usual cup of coffee. She was talking about the secret. One that Candy doesn’t know.

This is a special secret held between Danny and Maggie.

Danny hopes to tell his Candy about it [the secret] soon.

Candy eats her French toast. She is happy. She says, “fat girl gotta eat.”

Danny laughs on the inside. He never laughs aloud. He gives a quick sly smile and a wink to Candy.

Danny thinks it is funny when she says this because she is so thin. She eats anything. Eating isn't what Candy is happy about. Candy is happy to be there at midnight with Danny. She thinks Danny is her soul mate. She just thinks Danny doesn’t realize it yet. She thinks it is poetic. Danny and Candy. Candy and Danny. Isn't that dandy.

Candy assumes that Maggie meant “the coffee” when she said, “it is almost ready.”
Doesn’t Candy realize coffee is always ready at the coffee house? Candy is smart when she wants to be. But she is more of an idealistic romantic. She isn’t concerned about being smart and knowledgeable. Candy is interesting in things like humanity, doing the right thing, and making the world a better place. She reads Carl Rogers and watches documentaries on Gandhi and Mother Teresa for fun.

Maggie brings Danny his usual cup of black coffee. Danny doesn't like sugar or milk. He thinks it takes away from the tast of coffee. He drinks coffee for the taste of coffee, which he loves.

Discover what Maggie and Danny’s secret is in the next issue of coffee. Please return to the same coffee blog often for updates to this story. Find out soon what coffee does to Danny. Discover his secret powers!
